SmartFormsDriver is an application that makes it possible to manage information capture, validation and transmission from PDF forms in a secured way, and with an integration with IT host applications.
Being a primary component of process automation, electronic forms (or e-form) address challenges concerning presentation and data integration with host applications and systems of enteprises.
Objectives:
To design forms in a simple way, for instance starting from existing paper forms
To capture data on-line, and to attach files
To validate captured data as much as possible
To transmit data for treatment
To validate good receipt of data and to ensure its integrity
Functionality:
Authentication on a Web site or on an intranet, for instance against an LDAP directory
Pre-filling of the PDF form (optional)
Capture of data online with local (Acrobat and server (integration) fields validation
Addition of attachments
Transmission of PDF forms data to server using a button
Acknowledgment of receipt with static and signed PDF (Acrobat electronic signature)
Implementation:
Installation and parametrisation of SmartFormsDriver application (J2EE application server)
Analysis of target form data (XSD schema)
Design of a form using Adobe Forms Designer (application shiped with Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro)
Implementation of integrations with host applications: authentication, database access to validate forms fields, etc.
